Dr. Kieran received his PhD from the University of Alberta and MD from the University of Calgary in Canada. He then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in molecular biology at the Pasteur Institute in Paris France followed by his residency in pediatrics at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr Kieran then completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at the Children’s Hospital Boston.
