Mahdi Shahriari and Babak Abdolkarimi from the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Division, and Department of Pediatrics of the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran have just published in the Middle East Journal of Cancer a letter entitled: Metronomic Chemotherapy as a New Strategy for End-stage Pediatric Oncology Patients in Iran. In this letter to the editor, the authors briefly review the advantages of metronomic chemotherapy and state that they plan to treat patients at Amir Oncology Hospital with a new, unique program which is a first for Iranian pediatric oncology centers. We will try to keep you update about their progress.
